PM praises Vietnam-Japan extensive strategic partnership

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc says the Vietnamese government appreciates the Vietnam-Japan extensive strategic partnership and does it utmost to develop this relationship.

At a reception for Special Advisor of the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance, Tsutomu Takebe, in Hanoi on Friday, Mr. Phuc said Japan is Vietnam’s top economic partner, the largest provider of ODA, and the second largest investor. He added that cooperation between localities and people-to-people exchanges have been expanded, deepening mutual trust and friendship between the two peoples.

PM Phuc called on Mr. Takebe and other members of Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance and the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam to boost bilateral cooperation in all fields, particularly ODA-funded projects, so as to contribute to Vietnam’s economic development and attract more Japanese investors into Vietnam.

Mr. Takebe said Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance has worked to boost bilateral ties and he is now focusing on the Vietnam-Japan University project. He asked for the two countries’ measures to move the project forward.
