(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hailed accomplishments of Australia’s Ambassador to Vietnam Hugh Borrowman in his working term in Vietnam, which has deepened the Vietnam-Australia comprehensive partnership.

At a reception for the outgoing Ambassador on Tuesday, Mr. Phuc said that Vietnam-Australia relations have improved in economics, trade, tourism, education, training, transportation, security, and defense. He said he is impressed that Australia has hosted the largest number of Vietnamese students abroad, around 30,000 and said he hopes the two will accelerate people-to-people exchanges, farm produce exports, and labor cooperation.

Ambassador Borrowman said he is confident bilateral relations will continue to develop in the years to come.  He said Vietnam is one of the largest markets exporting fresh fruits to Australia and pledged to continue promoting cooperation between the two countries.
