(VOVworld)- The Party and State always creates all possible conditions to help the Vietnamese revolutionary press to grow vigorously.

At a meeting to mark the 90th anniversary of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press Day (June 21) organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in Hanoi on Friday, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said the Party and State are fully aware of Vietnamese journalists’ vital role and significant contributions to national independence, reunification, construction and development.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said:“Vietnamese press and journalists in particular have grown rapidly both in terms of political stance, professionalism and technology. In the context of Vietnam’s international integration and rapid technological development, Vietnamese press and journalists have striven to keep pace with international friends”.

Prime Minister Dung urged media agencies and journalists to overcome their weaknesses and shortcomings and focused their stories on Vietnam’s major tasks which include fulfilling socio-economic tasks set for this year and the past five years, improving people’s lives, strengthening national defense and ensuring of success of Party Congresses at various levels. Dung stressed the need to improve the management of press agencies and journalists’ professionalism.
