The Prime Minister said that to reach over 600 km of urban railways in Hanoi by 2045, work must be significantly accelerated in the coming years.
He called for changes in mindset, planning, and execution methods, improvements in technology, and strict labour safety measures, while urging the development of both underground and elevated rail systems with a 100-year planning vision.
PM Chinh also stressed the importance of comprehensive development of the railway sector, relying primarily on internal resources, with external resources as a strategic supplement. He urged cost reductions, investment reforms, and improved efficiency to make railway services more affordable and time-saving for the public.
