Addressing Wednesday’s hybrid review meeting of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism themed "Promoting the role of culture, sports and tourism for national sustainable development", Prime Minister Chinh emphasized that in 2024, the sector needs to create a breakthrough in institutionalizing the Party and State’s viewpoints, guidelines, policies, and laws on cultural, sports, and tourism development.
It’s necessary to soon complete and submit to competent authorities for promulgation the National Target Program for cultural development for the period 2025-2035 and the Strategy for developing Vietnam's cultural industry in the new period, while focusing on completing the Cultural Heritage Law revision, he said.
The PM said it’s necessary to continue to preserve and promote heritage values, national culture, tangible and intangible cultural values of regions and boost digital transformation in heritage management and use.
Inter-regional, national, and international connectivity in culture, sports, and tourism should be enhanced, PM Chinh said and stressed the need to ensure equal access to culture, sports, and tourism, particularly for residents in rural, remote, border, and marine areas and for vulnerable groups.
