(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Monday paid Tet visits to environment and water employees on duty in Hanoi.

Extending New Year's wishes to workers of Hanoi Urban Environment Company (URENCO) who were cleaning Dien Bien Phu street and Hoang Dieu street, Prime Minister Chinh praised the workers for sacrificing their days off for a brighter, greener, cleaner, more beautiful, and safer capital city. He called those who work to ensure environmental sanitation unsung employees.

The Prime Minister said he hopes that Hanoi city and URENCO will pay more attention to the lives of workers, apply technology to reduce manual labor, raise awareness on environmental protection, and join hands to protect the capital's environment.

Visiting workers at Yen Phu Water Plant (Hanoi Clean Water Company), Prime Minister Chinh applauded the company for ensuring the safe operation of water supply, circulation, distribution network and readying to promptly handle incidents during Tet.

He expected that officials and employees of Yen Phu Water Plant in particular and Hanoi Clean Water Company in general will boost technology application to improve water quality, save resources, and ensure water source security to serve the capital city.
