Meeting Charles Kaye, Director General of Warburg Pincus, on Wednesday, Prime Minister Chinh called on Warburg Pincus continue to coordinate effectively with Vietnamese agencies to strengthen long-term and sustainable investment in Vietnam in fields of mutual interest. He asked Warburg Pincus to expand investment in new areas, especially renewable energy, and to provide policy consultation for Vietnam.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will continue to make the investment and business environment more favorable, open, transparent, equal, and supportive for foreign investors, contributing to building an independent and self-reliant economy combined with proactive international integration.
Kaye said Vietnam is an increasingly attractive and important investment destination for US businesses and one of the five most important investment locations of Warburg Pincus. He said he wants to increase investment and cooperation with the Vietnamese side, especially the development of renewable energy in industrial parks, and make recommendations on investment projects in Vietnam.
