PM calls for US business community’s strong voice with government on tariffs

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Friday called on the US business community to continue to have a strong voice with the US Government and work with the Vietnamese Government in dialogue with US agencies to soon reach specific deals on tariffs for each reasonable product or group of products, towards a stable, harmonious, sustainable and mutually beneficial trade turnover.

During a meeting with a delegation of the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) in Hanoi, the Prime Minister said Vietnam is reforming and will reform further to create the most favorable conditions for people and businesses. He added that Vietnam ensures equal access to resources for both domestic and foreign enterprises, while further facilitating regulations on visas, labor, and food safety.

US business people applauded Vietnam’s more favorable investment and business environment with strong commitments, visions and actions, especially the revolution of streamlining the apparatus. They reiterated their commitment to continue their long-term investment, production and business with Vietnam.
