Mr. Phuc said that although the summit is held online, it is essential for Vietnam to fulfil its role as ASEAN Chair and raise Vietnam’s prestige in the international arena and in ASEAN. According to Mr. Phuc, there will be 20 major meetings and many secondary meetings. A record number of 80 documents is expected to be approved on the occasion.

Prime Minister Phuc said the ASEAN Business Summit will be an opportunity for Vietnam to lure more investors and firms, now that Vietnam has successfully contained the COVID-19 pandemic.
