Speaking at a discussion on national socio-economic performance on Wednesday, Mr. Phuc underscored GDP growth, price stabilization, net exports, and lower unemployment with the national unemployment index decreasing 2.2% for the first time. He noted that attention should be paid to environmental protection and people’s safety. 

Chairing the government’s monthly meeting in Hanoi to review the socio-economic situation in July and over the first 7 months of this year, the PM asked the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to take stronger measures to manage reservoirs and dams to reduce flooding.

Prime Minister Phuc asked for reduction of business conditions to help businesses obtain credit and land, and cut costs.

He criticized several ministries and localities for not doing enough to accelerate the equitization of State-owned enterprises.
