The Tan Trao Industrial Park project spans nearly 230 hectares in Kien Hung commune and Nghi Duong commune. Once completed after five years, the industrial park will become a major industrial-new technology center with advanced technical infrastructure.
The Hai Phong LNG thermal power plant is built on an area of nearly 100 hectares and is expected to be operational by the end of 2030. The plant will provide about 9.6 billion kWh per year (phase 1) and 19.2 billion kWh per year (phase 2), meeting the electricity demand for production in the entire Tan Trao Industrial Park and adding to the national grid.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh applauded Hai Phong for attracting investment capital, saying, “These two projects aim to develop industry and attract foreign investment. We now determine selective investment in high technology, technology transfer, human resource training, and contribution to national governance. Developing green energy is an irreversible trend.”
