PM asks JCCI to boost technology transfer, support Vietnamese businesses

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Monday called on the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) and the Japan-Mekong Economic Commission to work more closely with ministries and agencies of both countries to promote investment, improve investment quality, especially to boost technology transfer and support Vietnamese businesses in enhancing their competitiveness to participate more deeply in the value chains of Japanese corporations.

Prime Minister Chinh received and worked with a delegation of business leaders from JCCI led by Keita Ishii, Chairman of the Japan-Mekong Economic Commission and President of Itochu Corporation in Hanoi.

The Prime Minister applauded the valuable cooperation and contributions of JCCI and the Japan-Mekong Economic Commission in promoting relations between the two countries and serving as a bridge to help Japanese businesses continue to expand investment in Vietnam.

He expressed his hope that Japanese businesses and partners will continue to consider expanding investment cooperation in and with Vietnam, contributing to the Vietnam-Japan comprehensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world.
