The organizers said a list of the best Pho restaurants in 63 provinces and cities has been published. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said: "The fame and popularity of Nam Dinh is spreading around the world thanks to visitors who come here, try our pho, and love it."

Vietnam has officially designated December 12 the Day of Pho in honor of the nation's best-known dish.

Pho contains broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat. It’s eaten at home, at street stalls, and in restaurants. The northern province of Nam Dinh was the originator of traditional Vietnamese Pho.
