Pharmaceutical company donates 10,000 COVID-19 test kits

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health on Wednesday received 10,000 COVID-19 test kits donated by the Ampharco U.S.A Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company. The test kit, which can detect most strains of the SARS-CoV-2 virus to date, is a joint product of the Military Medical Academy and Ampharco U.S.A comany, applying new technologies from the US.

Receiving AmphaBio HT-Hithroughput PCR COVID-19 test kits in Hanoi on Wednesday, Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan praised the company’s meaningful donation which he said demonstrates the company's social responsibility in joining hands with the Ministry of Health to suppress the pandemic.

This is also a government policy of encouraging scientists to research and manufacture biological products for SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic tests, contributing to the prevention and control of COVID- 19 in Vietnam, he said.
