Senior Party members emphasized the urgent need of renovating the personnel work and gave comments on the power control mechanism, the prevention of bribery for job titles, and the policy of appointing non-local personnel as secretaries of provincial and district-level Party committees. They agreed to issue a new resolution on personnel work.

The Committee also discussed salary reform for officials, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, and workers in businesses.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong noted the importance of the meeting, which takes place at the middle of the Committee’s 12th tenure. He asked Committee members to study carefully submitted reports and projects in order to make quality contributions to documents to be passed at the end of the session. The session will conclude on Saturday.
