(VOVworld) – The 2nd "Spring on islands" program took place on Saturday in Ho Chi Minh city, providing a bridge linking island areas and the mainland.

At the event, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh called on Vietnamese people inside and outside the country to take practical actions to support the “For beloved Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly)” club and the effort to protect Vietnam’s sea and island sovereignty. Around 440,000 USD has been raised on the occasion to support people and soldiers on island areas.
