Focus should be placed on improving institutions on anti-corruption and wastefulness and on the operation of the political system after it is streamlined, Party leader Lam said, emphasizing the need to develop and effectively implement a national strategy on wastefulness prevention and control. 

“Top priority should be given to the fight against wastefulness. First, it is crucial to terminate projects that are delayed, prolonged, inefficient, or cause losses,” said the Party General Secretary, who is also head of the Central Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negativity.
