While receiving the commander-in-chief of the Myanmar Armed Forces, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing in Naypyidaw on Friday, Mr. Trong expressed his hope that cooperation between the two armies will develop to match the two countries’ Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership which has just been established during the Vietnamese high ranking delegation’s visit.
On the same day, Party leader Trong received Chairman of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) Than Htay. Mr. Trong applauded the USDP’s contributions to the relationship with Vietnam. Mr. Than Htay said that the USDP remains a major political party in Myanmar and treasures friendship and cooperation with the Vietnamese government and Communist Party for both countries’ development and their people’s benefit.
