Addressing the Vietnam-Korea Economic Forum in Seoul on Tuesday during his state visit, Mr. Lam expressed hope the RoK would continue supporting Vietnamese enterprises in expanding operations and gaining greater market access.

He underscored the need to make science, technology, and innovation a pillar of bilateral cooperation, and urged Korean businesses to expand investment in Vietnam in areas such as clean and green energy, electronics, automobiles, shipbuilding, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence (AI).

The Party leader also called on Vietnamese ministries, sectors, and localities to step up dialogue to address obstacles for Korean investors, further streamline administrative procedures, and reduce compliance and input costs. Key investment conditions, including transport infrastructure, human resources, power supply, and land, should be readied, he stressed.

On this occasion, Party leader To Lam and RoK Prime Minister Kim Min Seok witnessed the signing of several cooperation agreements.

He emphasized that science and technology should be treated as a strategic pillar of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and noted that Vietnam values cooperation with partners like the RoK to access advanced technologies, share expertise, and take “shortcuts” to keep pace with global development.
