Chung Son Temple is dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh’s ancestors.

The same day, General Secretary Lam offered flowers and incense at the national special historical relic site of Dong Loc T-junction in Ha Tinh Province in remembrance of heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for national liberation.

The Dong Loc T-junction was an important transport intersection on the legendary Truong Son-Ho Chi Minh Trail, through which trucks carried soldiers, food, arms and munitions from the North to support the battlefields in the South.

On July 24, 1968, while levelling bomb craters at the T-junction, 10 female young volunteers were killed by US bombs. Their sacrifice has become a symbol of the dedications of millions of young Vietnamese people to national liberation and reunification.

Party leader To Lam also paid tribute to first Party General Secretary Tran Phu, General Secretary Le Hong Phong, General Secretary Ha Huy Tap, and physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac during his trip to Nghe An and Ha Tinh.
