Addressing a ceremony to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the department in Hanoi on Thursday, the Party chief, who is also Secretary of the Central Military Commission, highlighted the outstanding achievements, breakthrough development, and glorious tradition of the department over the past 80 years, underlining its great contributions to the victories of the VPA.

"We need to focus on advising and guiding to successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term. The meticulous preparation and successful organization of the congresses is a pivotal political task, contributing to the success of the 14th National Party Congress. This will be an opportunity to strengthen the comprehensive leadership and the combat capacity of Party committees and organizations at all levels to meet the demands of the Army development and national defense in the new era," said the Party leader.
On behalf of Party and State leaders, the Party General Secretary presented the first-class Independence Order to the General Department of Politics.
