In his speech, General Secretary To Lam noted that global changes are creating new trends and opportunities for Vietnam, which is increasingly viewed as a safe and attractive destination thanks to its political stability, strategic location, deep international integration, and steady, sustainable growth.

He emphasized Vietnam’s commitment to improving its institutions and business climate, removing bottlenecks, and promoting economic restructuring in tandem with innovation.

He encouraged British businesses to expand investment in areas where both countries share strengths and needs, such as the green, digital, knowledge, and circular economies, as well as high technology, AI, energy, and finance.

The General Secretary also called on the UK government and enterprises to support technology transfer, enhance management capacity, and build linkages between FDI and domestic companies, helping Vietnamese firms integrate more deeply into global value chains.
