The Party chief chaired a meeting of the Central Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Corruption and Negative Phenomena in Hanoi on Wednesday to give opinions on the handling corruption and misconduct cases since the 26th session as well as intention of handling cases and incidents that are monitored and directed by the Steering Committee.
“Aggressive direction is needed to promptly deploy the key work on waste prevention and control and create a new climate for strong changes in this work. Waste prevention and control must be considered as a task on par with anti-corruption and anti-negativity. We should persevere in implementing coordinated bottom-up solutions to practice thrift and combat waste, build anti-waste culture throughout society and make waste combat to ethics and social norms,” he said.
General Secretary To Lam also requested that serious and complicated corruption and negative cases and cases of public concern be radically handled.
