Party chief attends groundbreaking ceremony of boarding school in border with Laos

(VOVWORLD) -Party General Secretary To Lam on Saturday attended the groundbreaking ceremony of Na Ngoi Inter-level Boarding School in Na Ngoi Commune, Nghe An Province, in line with the Politburo's policy on building 248 schools for primary and secondary schools in Vietnam’s border communes.

The Na Ngoi school project will build modern classrooms, dormitory, dining hall, playground, experience zone and production zone. When put into operation, it will educate and house more than 1,900 students in the Vietnam-Laos border area.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, General Secretary Lam said the investment in building 248 inter-level boarding schools is a correct policy with profound humanitarian significance and reflects the special attention of the Party and State to people in border, remote and isolated areas.

Afterwards, the General Secretary presented gifts to students, poor households and policy families in Na Ngoi commune.
