During the visit, Linh met with Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Secretary General of the ruling United Malays National Organization (UMNO), who praised Vietnam’s foreign affairs activities, especially its successful hosting of 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week. Linh said the 45^th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties this year is an opportunity to boost cooperation. He asked Malaysia to cooperate with Vietnam in the settling of the East Sea issues by peaceful diplomatic means in line with international law.
