Participants on Syria peace talks agree to continue contacts

(VOVworld) - Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Lavrov on Saturday said that Russia, the US and other related partiers participated at multinational talks on ending the Syria crisis in Switzerland on Saturday agreed to continue contacts in the near future. Lavrov said that the parties at the talks had agreed to extend the talks in the coming days, and that they had spoken in favor of launching a political process in Syria as soon as possible.

John Kerry said that the US and Russia and neighboring countries of Syria had discussed new ideas to restore a ceasefire in this Middle East country.  He added that participants had direct talks despite of differences and agreed on the urgency of working together in order to restore the truce.
