The report said that Palestine will request international protection in the Palestinian territories and condemn "the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces in Nablus."

The Palestinian Authority requested emergency meetings of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, said Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki.

On Wednesday, Israeli forces raided the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, in which 11 Palestinians were killed and more than 100 injured.

The incident is raising concerns among the international community about the risk of a new wave of violence in the West Bank.

On the same day, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell condemned the operation of Israeli forces in the West Bank.
