(VOVworld)- The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) decided Monday night to bid for the United Nations membership in response to Israeli settlement activities. After a meeting in Ramallah chaired by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, the PLO said it has instructed its political committee to prepare a quick plan to apply for membership in the UN’s organizations. The move "is to reactivate the UN's decision to accept the state of Palestine as a non-member observer state, including membership of the state of Palestine in UN treaties, conventions and organizations”.
