Punjabi Home Minister Shuja Khanzada said Pakistan police and anti-terrorism forces made a raid on a house in Ferozewala town, 18 kilometers from Lahore, killing 4 insurgents and arresting 2 others.
Abdali, Al-Qaeda leader in Pakistan and the Punjab, was among those killed. A huge cache of weapons - including AK-47s, rocket launchers, and suicide vests - was seized in the operation.
Khanzada said the militants had all trained in Afghanistan in an Al-Qaeda camp for five months.
