Outcomes of ASOD 38 announced

(VOVWORLD) - The National Committee for AIDS, Drugs, and Prostitution Prevention and Control held a press conference on Wednesday in Hanoi to review the outcomes of the 38th ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting on Drug Matters (ASOD 38).

Colonel Hoang Anh Tuyen of the Ministry of Public Security told reporters that Vietnam as the host country has actively joined ASEAN efforts and boosted cooperation with other members and partners on fighting drug crimes. He said: "Vietnam has proposed detailed action plans to deliver on ASEAN’s high-level commitments in the anti-drug fight."
The meeting concluded on Thursday following the ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Trans-national Crime (SOMTC +3) and meetings on enhancing ASEAN cooperation on drug prevention and control with 5 ASEAN dialogue partners - China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, India, and Russia.
