(VOVworld) – A conference was held in Ho Chi Minh city on Monday to discuss future opportunities and challenges for local administrations and businesses as a result of the signing of the EU-Vietnam free trade agreement.

Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung, Ambassador and head of the EU delegation to Vietnam Bruno Angelet, and President of the European Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam Nicola Connoly attended the event. European and Vietnamese experts proposed specific measures to increase the awareness and ability of local administrations and businesses, who will play a decisive role in implementing the agreement. European businesses have worked with the administrations of many Vietnamese localities to increase connectivity and create opportunities for investment and business promotion throughout Vietnam.
