In his speech at the event, which coincided with the 5th anniversary of the National Innovation Center (NIC), the PM emphasized that the Party and State have paid special attention to science-technology and innovation, considering it a top national policy for fast and sustainable development.
The Government will focus on fine-tuning strategies, mechanisms, and policies to step up innovation and startups to create favorable conditions for and protect the legitimate rights of the business community, investors and people, he said.
The PM noted that the NIC has developed an innovation ecosystem with nearly 2,000 members in 20 countries and territories and has become involved in key areas such as AI, semiconductors, and smart urban areas.
He said he hopes and believes that the NIC will become the heart of the innovation ecosystem and a foundation for Vietnam’s breakthrough and sustainable development, and global integration.
"The center should set trends, spread creativity, make Vietnam a source of innovation, and ensure that the country masters technologies and reach regional and global levels, contributing to shaping and leading the future of humanity," said PM Chinh.
