The second-most powerful figure in North Korea made the statement at a parade celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Il Sung as the US dispatches military assets to North Korea to pressure Pyongyang to stop its nuclear program. At the event, North Korea displayed its submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBM) for the first time.
In another development, China’s national airline, Air China has announced that it will cancel some flights to Pyongyang from next Monday. Japan's National Security Council discussed how to evacuate its nearly 60,000 citizens from South Korea in the event of a crisis on the Korean peninsula.
