North Korea has held a national memorial service for its leader Kim Jong-il. State television on Thursday showed a large-scale funeral cortege of the country’s army in Pyongyang and millions of people expressing their regrets. North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency said that President of the North Korea's parliament Kim Yong Nam gave a funeral oration. During the last day of the country’s official mourning period for Kim Jong-il, a three minute silence was also held, and was followed by all trains, ships, and other vehicles sounding their sirens in unison.
