'Normandy Four' leaders agree to meet in October in Paris

(VOVworld) - State leaders from Ukraine, Russia, France, and Germany will meet in Paris early next month to find ways to end the Ukrainian crisis.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and French President Francois Hollande agreed to the meeting during telephone talks on Wednesday.

The presidential office of the Kremlin says all 4 leaders had reached agreement on holding the summit on October 2nd and underlined the need to do their best to strictly abide by the Minsk agreements.

During the talks, they also shared opinions on allowing the OSCE to conduct its monitoring mission regularly, safely, and with unlimited access to the affected areas of East Ukraine.

Foreign Ministers of the Normandy four are expected to gather in Berlin on Saturday to make specific proposals ahead of the summit.
