(VOVworld) – The 17th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) ministerial conference concluded Thursday in Algiers with the adoption of a declaration which recommends that the Non-Aligned Movement members enhance their co-operation for peace, development, and human rights.

The declaration underscored the movement’s commitment to building equal and transparent international relations and increasing mutual co-operation at the UN and G-77. NAM Foreign Ministers said reforming the UN is vital to the world’s peace, security, and development. The declaration also insisted on settling conflicts through peaceful means, adding that terrorism is a threat to the world’s peace and security.
