(VOVworld) - Foreign Ministers of Russia and Turkey met on the sidelines of the OSCE’s ministerial meeting in the Serbian capital Belgrade on Thursday.
But no breakthrough was achieved by the first high-level contact between the two countries since the Turkish airforce shot down a Russian jet nine days ago.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said the important thing was that both Moscow and Ankara are ready for dialogues to defuse the tension but admitted there has been no progress yet.
Cavusoglu again denied Russian accusations that Turkey has purchased oil from the IS.
