(VOVworld)- Ninh Binh municipal authorities on Saturday held a meeting to mark the city’s 60th liberation day and announce the Prime Minister’s decision recognizing Ninh Binh a provincial city. In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai said the recognition would create favourable conditions for the city to develop further and become a modern and civilized tourist city. The Deputy Prime Minister urged Ninh Binh to tap local potential to improve the city’s competitiveness to become a national cultural, historical and tourist centre. He asked the city to mobilize all resources to develop local infrastructure and boost socio-economic development in parallel with environmental protection, ensuring social welfare, improving people’s living standards and better caring for social beneficiaries. Hai said the province needed to pay more attention to the educational, scientific and technological development.
