(VOVworld) – 32 outstanding teams, selected from 161 teams nationwide, are competing in the final round of the 2014 robot contest called Robocon Vietnam, beginning Tuesday, in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province. The champions will represent Vietnam at the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) in India in August.

This year’s contest themed “Robot family” requires each team to design a manually controlled father robot and an automatically controlled child robot. The father robot has to bring the child robot to a game area where the child robot completes its tasks required in the game.

A Robocon Techshow 2014 will be held during the competition to encourage students to research and design high-tech products feasible for daily life.
