Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday agreed to hold the next round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul.
During the phone call, President Erdogan told President Putin that a ceasefire and peace should be reached as soon as possible and that the humanitarian situation in the region should improve.
The Turkish leader stressed that the country will continue to "contribute in every possible way in this process".
