Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade Jurin Laksanavisit told a closing session of the 51st ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting (AEM 51) in Bangkok on Wednesday that he expects all disagreements on opening markets for goods, services, and investment from outside ASEAN to be resolved. He also said that at an ASEAN-India meeting, India expressed the desire to wrap up RCEP negotiations this year.
Vietnam will host the week-long RCEP negotiations in Da Nang city from next Thursday. It’s scheduled to be the final set of negotiations before an ASEAN Summit later this year.
