A government decree issued in 2013 specified several articles of the Law, including conditions and procedures for setting up units to support human trafficking victims, and the responsibilities of State agencies.
Ms. Nguyen Thuy Duong, Deputy Head of the Department of Social Evil Prevention, said: “The amended decree aims to overcome shortcomings of the previous decree, and complete mechanisms and policies to support the victims of human trafficking. It is essential to get organizations, and individuals involved in this effort so that human trafficking victims will receive the support they need to integrate into the community”.
