Chairing the Council’s meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue asked the NEC to review the outcomes of the election in preparation for a nationwide review teleconference scheduled for Thursday and the first session of the 15th National Assembly later this month.
“I would like to express thanks to voters and people at home and abroad for joining the election responsibly, reflecting their patriotism and the spirit of great national unity," said Mr. Hue.
"Under the leadership of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and related agencies at all levels, nearly 70 million voters nationwide went to the poll in the elections for the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.”
According to Mr. Hue, People’s Councils at all levels have held their first sessions, completing the elections of key leaders of local administrations.
