First launched in 2008 to address blood shortages after the Lunar New Year holiday, the festival has collected nearly 120,000 blood units from hundreds of thousands of donors.
Nguyen Ha Thanh, the Institute’s Director, said each donated drop of blood carries a story of hope.
The next drive will be held nationwide to mark the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians’ Day (February 27).
