(VOVWORLD) - NATO has no plans for a combat presence in Ukraine despite the fact that several NATO allies have men and women in uniform at the embassies giving advice, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told US broadcaster MSNBC on Monday.

Stoltenberg’s statement was announced after the spokesperson for the Pentagon in the US Major General Pat Ryder told “Politico” that the US was considering sending additional military advisers to its embassy in Kyiv.

These advisers would not be in a combat role, but rather support logistics, monitor the delivery of US weapons, and assist with weapons maintenance.
