(VOVWORLD) - 1,500 artists from 12 art units of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism are giving a series of performances to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification on April 30.

Throughout April and May, this program is inspiring in audiences nationwide a spirit of pride, solidarity, and remembrance.

People’s Artist Nguyen Xuan Bac, Director of the Department of Performing Arts, said at a press briefing on Monday in Hanoi that the program aims to preserve and promote traditional culture and art, boost tourism development, introduce traditional Vietnamese art forms to foreign tourists, and strengthen the great national unity bloc in the era of national development.
