(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has urged the oil and gas sector to closely monitor world oil prices to prepare contingent plan in investment and exploitation while securing stability in the context of complicated situation in the East Sea. The Deputy Prime Minister told the sector’s conference on Friday: “I highly praise Petro Vietnam for its solutions submitted to the government in the context of falling world oil prices. The Prime Minister has asked ministries to calculate alternative plans. Petro Vietnam should review its production plan and ensure efficiency in combination with national sovereignty protection.”
Petro Vietnam says it achieved all yearly targets ahead of schedule while crude oil revenue was more than 1.18 million tons.
