(VOVworld) – A national conference on labor relations opened in Hanoi on Friday. A project on labor relations between Vietnam and the International Labor Organization was also launched at the event. Delegates agreed that changes in the Labor Code and the Law on Trade Unions have impacted labor relations. However, these regulations need to be made concrete in order to better protect the legitimate rights and interests of all parties concerned with labor relations. Mai Duc Chinh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said: “To build an advanced system of labor relations requires a synchronized legal system and regulations to support labor relations. Also included should be the trade unions and organizations representing the employers, competent enough to fulfill their purpose and cooperate with partners.”
