(VOVworld) - National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and high ranking delegation started a visit to the European countries of Sweden, Hungary and the Czech Republic today/ on Thursday. National Assembly leader Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan’s visit was made at the invitation of Speaker of the Swedish Parliament Urban Ahlin, President of the Hungarian parliament, László Kövér and President of the Czech Senate Milan Stech. Sweden, the first stop of the visit, was the first western country to set up diplomatic relations with Vietnam. Over the past 40 years, bilateral ties have been accelerated with coordination at regional and international inter-parliamentary forums, especially the Inter-Parliamentary Union. Speaker of the Swedish Parliament Urban Ahlin visited Vietnam in April 2015. Former National Assembly Chairman Nong Duc Manh had an official visit to Sweden in 1993.
