The deputies also discussed issues relating to agriculture, farmers and rural areas. They said that despite incentives for agriculture, agricultural growth had reduced. They urged the government  to prioritize resources for agriculture, the main pillar of the national economy. Truong Van Vo is a deputy from Dong Nai province: “We need to take more resolute measures to guide localities in restructuring the agricultural sector. We should assist them in adopting agricultural products, implementing bio-technology programs and developing high-technology agriculture. We need to encourage enterprises to invest in agriculture and rural areas”

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat is a deputy from Dak Lak province: “In the coming months, we will focus on addressing problems facing the farmers to help them develop their markets.
